First Non-photo Post! Sep. 12th, 2004 @ 11:40 pm
I've decided to abandon the polaroids for now (mostly because my disks with image files on them are scattered about in the aftermath of my recent move). And also, I was smitten with anti_cyclone's recent pictures of the letterpress equipment she gets to use this fall. So I hunted down my disk with the largest amount of fonts on it, and set about making letters.

Icons That Never Sleep Sep. 8th, 2004 @ 01:03 am
In my disk-rummagings today, I re-discovered a set of icons that I had posted to my own journal but neglected to put up here. Whoops.

The Oddly Un-New York New York IconsCollapse )

Also: this seems like a good thing to know about preventing bandwidth theft on livejournal - whether it be on this community or on your own journal. It would probably be wise to implement that here, I'm thinking.

Also, also: Is hundredpixels up for photoshop manipulations, or is it simply meant to showcase photography? I use text in some of my icons, but few other people appear to.

I profess myself to be too lazy most of the time to switch to my icon ego (sandintheglass) from my regular one (chronographia). But you deserve more, more icons, more inane posts!

For your pixel pleasure, some not-very-recent polaroids of mine that have been manipulated in photoshop. All were taken with an antiquated One Step Polaroid Land Camera, and look a bit vintage.

Digital representations of my angst Jul. 16th, 2004 @ 05:59 pm
A few selections from yesterday's walk through the cemetery. Many of the stones had really beautiful lettering, from the mid- to late 1800s. For some reason, these make me laugh. Should I worry?
